Children's Museum Shanty in WinnePlayGo

The Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac recently had a grand re-opening after it spent the last 13 months moving to 75 W. Scott Street and repurposed the building to suit the museum’s needs.

Part of the repurposing was adding on a 10,000 square foot outdoor space called WinnePLAYgo. The outdoor space features fishing shanty's to reflect Fond du Lac's great love of ice fishing on Lake Winnebago.

Signature Home's by Adashun Jones and their suppliers and vendors donated one of the shanty's.  The shanty was designed to be a functioning garden shed complete with outdoor potting area and greenhouse roof for growing plants from seed. Using reclaimed barn boards for flooring and barn beams and posts to carry the outdoor potting roof gives this garden shed a very unique and rustic flare. The shanty was finished with custom barn doors and a cedar shake roof. The structure is not only beautiful but built to stand Wisconsin winters.
